Current Energy Issues

In 20th century electricity has contributed much more to development of the developed countries. Improving access to energy service has emerged as cornerstone to development and economic growth. In developing countries use of electricity is growing exponentially and rendering the depletion of fossil fuel resources at an alarming rate. The use of fossil fuel for generation of electricity further adds to the environment pollution. It is therefore imperative to look for the alternative resources for generation of electrical energy. The renewable energy resources such as solar, hydro and wind can provide all the alternative to keep pace with the growing demand of electricity. In order to increase the use of renewable sources significantly it is necessary to bring awareness amongst the people & develop suitable interfaces for efficient utilization of these resources.

Non conventional sources, energy conservation and energy efficiency are realistic options to overcome the shortcomings of conventional sources.

Technical aspects of utilization of non conventional and renewable sources must be attended. Also, the impact of these technologies on urban and rural economy should be discussed

This seminar invites the experts, policy makers, political thinkers, academicians, researchers and users to come to one platform and discuss the issue of planning, monitoring, manufacturing, financing the Non-conventional Energy Sources and increase the awareness of the depleting fossil fuel and use the Non-conventional Energy sources for every home to march towards self reliance in Energy sector with a slogan
